• Question: Why is science split into biology, chemistry and physics and not just science?

      There’s so much knowledge in science now, it would be really difficult to learn all of it. That’s why in school and at university it gets broken down into separate areas. In research however, people often work in multiple areas of science. Lots of people work in biophysics, biochemisty, astrochemistry, astrobiology etc.
