• Question: why cant you live in a black hole

      At the moment we don’t quite know what happens in a black hole, so we don’t know what it’s like in there. We do have some ideas about what happens when you fall towards a black hole. As you fall towards it you get faster as gravity accelerates you. If you went feet first, then your feet would experience a stronger pull of gravity than your head, as they would be closer. That would mean your body gets stretched. Depending on the size of the black hole you could get stretched so much that you’d get torn apart!
