• Question: Who inspired you to to study components from plants?

      Hello 442tntd43,
      I was inspired by reading that plants can give us not only very nice flowers/fruits, but they can also be an amazing source of very useful products! I am working at the Centre for Novel Agricultural Products of the University of York, where plants are studied to produce medicines (for example the antimalarial Artemisinin) and new generation biofuels (from plant-derived waste materials)! Plants can also be used to clean up the environment from pollutants…my group works with explosives (watch this video of what we do here: http://www.bbsrc.ac.uk/news/industrial-biotechnology/2015/150909-n-plants-vs-explosives/) !!! Amazing, isn’t it?
