Question: What was the most disappointing experiment you've ever done ?

not sure if this is what you’re after but what immediately springs to mind is I once decided to do what I had seen on TV/films/somewhere and freeze a banana skin so I could smash it!

Turns out, banana peel in liquid nitrogren does become frozen indeed – it does not however become brittle so you can’t smash it into a satisfying 1000 pieces. That was really disappointing.
