With my project I want to understand what do CytochromeP450 proteins do in plants and how I can use them for our own benefit. Some scientists in the past showed that some flowers carry very useful compounds, that can be used to prepare medicines. My boss found out that some plants could even be able to clean up the environment from pollution, simply by absorbing the “bad” molecules from the ground using their roots. Following to this, I am studying a way to make this plants even more powerful in this role, for a cleaner environment! 🙂
