      The Sun is a star, and there are hundreds of billions of stars in the sky. Stars come in all different shapes, sizes and colours.

      The largest star we’ve ever found is probably UY Scuti. I say probably because we’re still not sure exactly how big it is yet. There’s a picture of it on Wikipedia here. At the moment we think it’s 1.5 billion (1 500 000 000) miles across.
