Question: Is your experience of being a scientist so positive or does it have hiccups?

My experience is positive, but I’d say it has hiccups too. I enjoy my job and look forward to working everyday, but there are tricky points too. Sometimes I can get stuck on a problem for a long time, and it can be quite hard to motivate yourself to keep going when it feels like you’re not getting anywhere. I’m sure that problem isn’t specific to science! It always pays off in the end though, and it’s really rewarding when you do manage to get things working.
