      Yes I think so, understanding how things happen in living organisms is fundamental, for technological and medical advancement.
      For example, antibiotics and medicines are made after studying how the microorganisms or the specific illnesses act inside our body.

      I think Biology is extremely important, however when you get down to it all biology is chemistry!
