I haven’t – or at least not yet! I think it’s fairly rare these days that one scientist will come up with a grand theory by themselves. It tends to be more of a collaborative process. One person may start off with an idea, and by talking to people and working with other scientists, they’ll slowly improve it until it gets better and better. They can then work with other people to think of ways to test it. The final result (if it survives that process) may turn out to be a brand new theory.
